Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Buildings & Places sector, specializing in data centre design and delivery from our UK offices. You will lead mechanical engineering projects within multidisciplinary teams, delivering scalable, resilient systems for hyperscale clients in the EMEA region.

The role demands a track record in complex data centre projects, Chartered status or progression, and the ability to travel.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Designer or Accredited Tier Professional.
• Working knowledge of Revit and digital design workflows.
• Working towards Chartered status Engineer or Architect (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Undertake the technical delivery experience on data centre projects for technology firms.
• Lead mechanical data centre engineering projects and collaborate across geographies.
• Lead technical teams and contribute to thought leadership and strategic growth.
• Ensure compliance with permitting processes, building systems, regulations, and construction methodologies.
