Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Buildings & Places sector, specialising in data centre design and delivery. You will lead mechanical engineering projects within multidisciplinary teams across the EMEA region, delivering complex data centre facilities for leading technology clients.

This strategic role focuses on strengthening AECOM's position in hyperscale and co-location markets, with opportunities for thought leadership, global collaboration, and hybrid work options

Qualifications

• Progress toward Chartered status or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience in data centre design and/or project management.
• Proven experience on complex data centre projects.
• Strong knowledge of permitting processes, building systems, regulations and construction methodologies.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Degree in Architecture, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Designer or Accredited Tier Professional.
• Working knowledge of Revit and digital design workflows.
• Clear work history and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical solutions and ensure design integrity on data centre schemes.
