Job summary

Beeby Anderson Recruitment is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for their Edinburgh office. You will lead detailed mechanical design for new build and refurbishment projects, working with Senior Engineers and Technicians to deliver robust building services solutions.

You will demonstrate knowledge of mechanical design standards, assist in feasibility studies, and participate in meetings and workshops to ensure projects meet regulatory and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
• Incorporated Engineer aligned to IMechE or CIBSE requirements
• Experience in mechanical building services design for new build and refurbishment projects
• Ability to use Building Services software for calculations and marking up CAD drawings

Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed Mechanical Building Services Design Engineering for new build and refurbishment projects.
• Assist senior staff in feasibility studies, concept and scheme design stages.
• Attend design team meetings and contribute to value engineering workshops.
• Inspect and report on mechanical building services systems.
• Produce drawings and specifications for contractors and ensure compliance with regulations.
