About The Role
Nicholas O'Dwyer is currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to work within our Wastewater Department. The successful candidate would be working as part of a team on International and Domestic Wastewater Projects including:
- Portfolio of Design and Build projects in Sub Saharan Africa and Central Europe
- Worldbank and EU Funded Wastewater Tenders
- Irish Water Design and Supervision frameworks
- Severn Trent Water Design Services
- Yorkshire Water & AMP7
- Designer to a number of Tier 1 & 2 Contractors in UK
Roles And Responsibilities
- Feasibility Assessments
- Preparing Preliminary Reports
- Scoping Investigation Contracts
- Detailed Design including wastewater networks, pump station and treatment plants
- Preparing Technical Specification and Contract Documents
- Procurement Process
- Coordination of inputs from other team members
- Client liaison.
- Maintaining a culture of continuous improvements across all aspects of the working environment and projects.
- Training will be provided to fulfil the requirements of your role, your participation to all essential training will be required.
- To ensure maximum flexibility and to reflect the Company's evolving needs, additional tasks and responsibilities will form part of this role as it evolves
Qualifications and Experience: -
- Ideally the successful candidate will have a minimum of 7 years’ post graduate experience, but less experience would also be considered for exceptional candidates
- Ideally the candidate will have experience in the design and/or commissioning of wastewater treatment plants
- You will be degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering with an interest in Water Engineering.
- Competent in office packages, Microsoft, excel PowerPoint etc.
- Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise work and manage many tasks concurrently.
- Excellent clear and concise communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team.
- You will have an agile and “Can Do” mindset
- Ambitions self-starter with high self-standards.
