Qualifications

  • Experience in design and commissioning of wastewater treatment plants.

About The Role

Nicholas O'Dwyer is currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to work within our Wastewater Department. The successful candidate would be working as part of a team on International and Domestic Wastewater Projects including:

  • Portfolio of Design and Build projects in Sub Saharan Africa and Central Europe
  • Worldbank and EU Funded Wastewater Tenders
  • Irish Water Design and Supervision frameworks
  • Severn Trent Water Design Services
  • Yorkshire Water & AMP7
  • Designer to a number of Tier 1 & 2 Contractors in UK

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Feasibility Assessments
  • Preparing Preliminary Reports
  • Scoping Investigation Contracts
  • Detailed Design including wastewater networks, pump station and treatment plants
  • Preparing Technical Specification and Contract Documents
  • Procurement Process
  • Coordination of inputs from other team members
  • Client liaison.
  • Maintaining a culture of continuous improvements across all aspects of the working environment and projects.
  • Training will be provided to fulfil the requirements of your role, your participation to all essential training will be required.
  • To ensure maximum flexibility and to reflect the Company's evolving needs, additional tasks and responsibilities will form part of this role as it evolves

Qualifications and Experience: -

  • Ideally the successful candidate will have a minimum of 7 years’ post graduate experience, but less experience would also be considered for exceptional candidates
  • Ideally the candidate will have experience in the design and/or commissioning of wastewater treatment plants
  • You will be degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering with an interest in Water Engineering.
  • Competent in office packages, Microsoft, excel PowerPoint etc.
  • Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise work and manage many tasks concurrently.
  • Excellent clear and concise communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team.
  • You will have an agile and “Can Do” mindset
  • Ambitions self-starter with high self-standards.
