Overview

My client is currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to be based in Rosyth, Dunfermline. GBP51–63 per hour Umbrella (Inside IR35). Contract Length: 12 months +.

About the Project

Will involve working as part of a JV team on the Nuclear Technical Support Provider (NTSP) framework. This seven–year framework, with the option of a further three years, will deliver specialist nuclear technical services valued between GBP250 million to GBP400 million to support DIO, Navy Command, and other MOD organisations. The framework will support the Clyde Infrastructure Programme (CIP) and wider Royal Navy and defence requirements. Its primary focus will be on delivering the refurbishment and upgrade of critical infrastructure at HMNB Clyde.

Day to Day

You’ll be involved in supporting the design and delivery of building services systems – such as HVAC, lighting, water, and fire protection – within complex nuclear facilities. You’ll help prepare technical documentation, contribute to CAD modelling and system layouts, and assist in performance analysis and compliance checks. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you’ll ensure building services solutions meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. You’ll also support project planning, engage with clients and stakeholders, and have opportunities to grow your expertise in delivering innovative, sustainable, and compliant building services solutions.
