Job summary

Our client, a fast-growing maritime technology innovator, seeks a Senior Design Engineer to own mechanical subsystems from concept to release. You will develop 3D models, drawings, and calculations while coordinating with international suppliers to ensure timely fabrication.

The role requires DFMA focus, cost reduction, and mentoring of junior engineers in a production environment. Ideal candidates have 5–10 years’ hands-on mechanical design experience in Marine, Wind, or Offshore, with Siemens

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of hands-on mechanical design experience in a production environment.
• Industry background in Marine, Wind, or Offshore sectors.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD tools: Siemens NX, Inventor (or equivalent).
• Fabrication knowledge: large structural assemblies, welding, fabrication.
• Familiarity with class/certification requirements (DNV or LR).

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical subsystems from concept through manufacturing release.
• Produce high-quality 3D models, drawings, and engineering calculations.
• Apply DFMA principles to improve standards and reduce costs.
• Interface with international suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
• Rapidly resolve design issues with feedback from manufacturing and suppliers.
• Mentor junior engineers to uphold safety and quality standards.
