Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client’s marine division on exciting shipbuilding and offshore projects in Southampton. You will lead mechanical system design, develop detailed drawings, and ensure designs meet marine industry standards.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, perform analyses and simulations, mentor junior engineers, and help manage project timelines to deliver robust, high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical design engineering within the marine sector.
• Strong understanding of marine engineering principles and practices.
• Ability to develop and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification in a related field.
