Job summary

Renishaw PLC in South Wales is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Additive Manufacturing Group (AMG). You will lead from concept through to finished product, delivering 3D design, 2D drawings to BS8888, and prototype components for rapid development cycles.

Working with manufacturing, quality and engineering teams, you will analyse performance, drive design for manufacture, and manage changes to enable swift introductions of innovative components for aerospace and medical

Qualifications

Degree level in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 2:1 or better.
Proven achievements in designing machined components and assemblies.
Ability to communicate design solutions clearly for knowledge transfer.

Responsibilities

3D design and 2D drawing creation to BS8888.
Develop prototype system components per product development requirements.
Prototype testing and data analysis to support design.
Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to resolve performance issues on a timescale.
Work with manufacturing engineers to ensure best practice for manufacture and assembly.
Prepare reports and specifications.
Support change management to enable swift introductions.
