Job summary

Renishaw plc is seeking an Automation Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain software for assembly and test systems used in additive manufacturing. You will build reusable libraries and integrate software with sensors, motion systems and production equipment.

The role requires a degree in engineering or related field, strong C#/.NET skills, and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams in a hybrid environment at our New Mills HQ.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Software Engineering or Computer Science with 2:1 or above.
• Proficiency in C# and .NET; understanding software engineering principles including design, testing and debugging.
• Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively; hands-on with software and hardware.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain software for assembly and test systems used in AM product manufacture.
• Develop and maintain reusable libraries, frameworks and components for multiple projects.
• Support development and introduction of new manufacturing and test processes for new products.
• Interface software with hardware including sensors, motion systems and production equipment.
• Contribute to software architecture, coding standards and best practices.
