Job summary

Renishaw is seeking a Senior/Lead Embedded Software Engineer (C) to join its multidisciplinary engineering team in the United Kingdom. You will help develop embedded software platforms powering next-generation additive manufacturing products, spanning concept through production release and long-term support.

Role combines hands-on embedded development with system-level design and collaboration across electronics, FPGA, systems, algorithms and mechanical teams.

Qualifications

• Degree required in a relevant engineering field.
• Strong experience in embedded C development.
• Experience with real-time and deterministic systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software architectures and applications from concept through production release.
• Design, implement and maintain high-quality C software with focus on performance and reliability.
• Develop low-level drivers, middleware and application-layer software for embedded systems.
• Implement communication interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet, etc.) and optimise for real-time performance.
• Support product sustainment and software improvements throughout the lifecycle.
• Develop reusable software frameworks for multiple projects.
