Job summary

Tetra Tech Europe is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead multidisciplinary wastewater and water treatment projects across the UK. You will develop mechanical solutions, review site infrastructure, and produce specifications, drawings, calculations, and risk assessments.

You will mentor junior engineers, contribute to design governance, and help deliver projects on time, to budget and to high quality standards. Travel to sites will be required as needed.

Qualifications

• A degree in mechanical engineering or closely allied subject; IMechE accreditation preferred.
• Chartered status or working towards chartership.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, P&IDs, specs, procurement, and CDM regulations.
• Willingness to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to wastewater and water treatment projects from feasibility to detailed design.
• Develop mechanical solutions and review site infrastructure.
• Provide technical outputs: specifications, calculations, drawings, reports, and risk assessments.
• Mentor junior engineers and support delivery across frameworks.
