Job summary

Tetra Tech Europe, part of the global water consultancy, is seeking multiple Principal Mechanical Design Engineers to lead mechanical design delivery across major UK water frameworks. You will own outputs for pumping systems, aeration and process plant equipment from optioneering through detailed design and construction support.

Hybrid working with regular onsite attendance at regional offices; travel to client sites across the UK will be required.

Qualifications

• IMechE-accredited degree or equivalent and chartered or working towards chartership.
• Substantial water sector experience.
• Postgraduate qualification and AMP programme experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design delivery across major UK water frameworks from optioneering through detailed design and construction support.
• Own outputs for pumping systems, aeration and process plant equipment with calculations and procurement documentation.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and engage clients and supply-chain partners.
• Provide technical assurance on capital schemes and support procurement under NEC/ECC or similar contracts.
