Job summary

Tetra Tech Europe seeks Principal Mechanical Design Engineers to lead mechanical design across major UK water frameworks. You will own designs for pumping systems, aeration and process plant equipment from optioneering through detailed design and construction support, preparing specifications, P&IDs, schedules, calculations and procurement documentation.

Hybrid working with regional office attendance; travel to client sites across the UK will be required.

Qualifications

• IMechE-accredited degree or equivalent, chartered or working towards chartership.
• Substantial water sector experience.
• Desirable: AMP programme experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design delivery from optioneering through detailed design and construction support.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and engage clients and supply‑chain partners.
• Produce specifications, P&IDs, schedules and procurement documentation.
