Job summary

Tetra Tech Europe’s Water Consultancy is seeking multiple Principal Mechanical Design Engineers to lead mechanical design delivery across major UK water frameworks. You will own mechanical design outputs for pumping systems, aeration and process plant equipment from optioneering through detailed design and construction support.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, engage clients and supply-chain partners, and provide technical assurance on multi‑million‑pound capital schemes with hybrid

Qualifications

• Expected: IMechE-accredited degree or equivalent, chartered or working towards chartership.
• Substantial water sector experience highly valued.
• Postgraduate qualification and AMP programme experience are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design outputs for pumping systems and process plant equipment.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and engage clients and supply-chain partners.
• Produce specifications, P&IDs, schedules, calculations and procurement docs.
• Provide technical assurance on multi‑million‑pound capital schemes.
