Job summary

Agratas – A Tata Enterprise is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead mechanical integration and requirements for EV battery modules and packs. You will coordinate with Systems Engineering, CAE, Test, Manufacturing, and suppliers to convert system intent into robust mechanical requirements and manufacturable concepts.

Deliverables include robust design, traceability, and compliant interfaces while driving design reviews and risk management in a fast-paced, startup-like environment

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with EV battery systems and mechanical design.
• Experience in requirements analysis, decomposition and verification.
• CAD proficiency with NX; knowledge of PLM systems.
• Experience with DFMEA and tolerance analysis.
• Familiarity with CAE and physical verification for structural and thermal performance.
• Awareness of ISO 26262 and automotive safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical integration and requirements, translate into testable mechanical requirements and interfaces.
• Maintain requirements baselines, traceability and compliance matrix.
• Contribute to concept designs, packaging studies and architecture trade-offs.
• Develop mechanical concepts: cell arrangement, load paths, thermal interfaces and sealing.
• Lead design reviews and ensure traceability and evidence.
