Job summary

Camlin is a global technology leader delivering electro-mechanical products for the Energy Utilities and Renewables sectors. The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will lead complex product development, mentor engineers, and ensure designs meet stringent performance and quality standards across the full product lifecycle.

Responsibilities include DFMA, cost optimization, BOM management, and cross-functional collaboration with Operations and other engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:1 degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years in mechanical engineering with product design and full lifecycle experience.
• Experience with sheet metal and fabricated assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, testing and evaluation of mechanical designs for the Energy industry.
• Drive Design-to-Cost and DFMA initiatives across products and assemblies.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Create and maintain engineering drawings, specifications and test plans.
• Manage Bills of Materials and coordinate with Purchasing for suppliers.
• Ensure products meet operating conditions, quality and customer expectations.
• Collaborate with other engineering functions and Operations.
