Beeby Anderson Recruitment seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for a Watford-based engineering team. You will lead building services design across a varied portfolio, engaging directly with clients and guiding projects from concept to construction.

Qualifications

• Five years' experience in mechanical building services design within consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and building services calculation methods.
• Experience delivering concept to detailed design stages.

Responsabilités

• Lead mechanical design and coordination of building services projects from concept through detailed design and construction.
• Design, specify HVAC, pipework, plant and associated mechanical equipment.
• Produce detailed engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications and design documentation.
• Manage day-to-day delivery of mechanical projects, ensuring programmes, budgets and quality standards.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural, structural, electrical and other disciplines.
• Attend client meetings, design workshops and site visits, providing technical advice and engineering solutions.
• Oversee preparation of drawings and models by CAD and Revit technicians.
• Review contractor submissions and technical documentation for design compliance.
• Provide technical support during construction, commissioning and handover.
• Contribute to sustainable and energy-efficient design solutions, incorporating renewables where appropriate.
• Support and guide junior engineers, promoting technical excellence.
