We seek a Principal Mechanical Engineer who will lead complex mechanical design, manage multiple projects and mentor engineers, driving design excellence while upholding health and safety standards.

You will lead technical work, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, manage budgets and assist directors with business development, fee submissions and client presentations.

Qualifications

• Lead the mechanical design on multiple projects ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor engineers and develop the team’s skills while delivering design excellence.
• Oversee project delivery, budgets, and client communications to win work.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural and electrical teams to minimise clashes.

Responsibilities

• Act as design lead on projects, ensuring high standards of accuracy and coordination.
• Manage teams and projects, monitor deliverables, resources and financials.
• Lead tendering and fee submissions, and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Promote health and safety compliance and document CPD and QA procedures.
• Develop new business opportunities and maintain client relationships.
