Job summary

Safran Engineering Services UK Limited is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer Product Design to strengthen the TLS team in Pitstone, Hertfordshire. The role focuses on delivering robust mechanical solutions through design, analysis and validation, while optimizing for manufacture and cost.

You will lead investigations, provide technical direction at critical meetings, and collaborate with OE/MRO to ensure quality deliverables, documentation, and KPI targets are met in a fast-paced aerospace

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or equivalent
• Experience designing complex electromechanical products in regulated sectors
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication and leadership abilities

Responsibilities

• Lead Through Life Support (TLS) activities and provide technical leadership
• Represent Engineering at QRQC meetings and support critical decisions
• Collaborate with OE and MRO teams to deliver engineering solutions
• Support production to meet build schedules and address issues promptly
• Lead engineering investigations with thorough analysis and clear resolutions
• Drive continuous improvement and document approvals across stages
