Job summary

SAFRAN Engineering Services in the UK is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for Product Design based in Pitstone, Hertfordshire on a hybrid arrangement. The contract is Inside IR35 for 6-12 months with potential for permanency.

The role focuses on strengthening TLS team, providing tactical and strategic support, delivering high-quality engineering solutions, leading investigations, and ensuring project success.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience designing complex electromechanical products in aerospace.
• Experience with rotating machinery and smart motor/generator tech desirable.
• Ability to define and track design performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Represent Engineering at QRQC meetings and provide technical leadership.
• Collaborate with OE and MRO teams to deliver engineering solutions and documentation.
• Support production to meet build schedules by addressing engineering issues with suppliers and teams.
• Lead engineering investigations and provide clear analyses and resolutions.
