Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Aerospace)

Salary: 45,000 - 50,000 + Training + Progression + 34 Days Holiday + Flexitime

Location: Bedford

Are you a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer seeking an exciting opportunity with an industry-leading aerospace company that offers career progression into leadership roles, training on CATIA V5 software, and the chance to work on classified designs for blue-chip clients?

This role provides the opportunity to join an independent research and development organization within the aerospace industry, offering aerodynamic consultancy to major aircraft manufacturers worldwide. The company is expanding its operations following the acquisition of new contracts with classified blue-chip clients.

In this position, you will use 3D CAD software to develop design schemes, proposals, and engineering drawings for a range of high-profile clients. You will perform static stress calculations and Finite Element Analysis to ensure designs meet safety standards and wind tunnel testing requirements. The company will provide further training on CATIA V5 software and support your development of junior design engineers.

This role is ideal for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer eager to join a leading aerospace organization, with opportunities for leadership, advanced training, and involvement in designing models for classified clients.

The Role:

• Utilize 3D CAD software to create design schemes, proposals, and engineering drawings
• Receive comprehensive training on CATIA V5 software
• Work 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with Flexitime
