Job summary

Anduril is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Maneuver Dominance team in our London office. You will work on core product development for unmanned rotorcraft and complex systems, including the design of a novel payload carriage and release system.

The ideal candidate is practical, hands-on and a self-starter with high growth potential; you will lead design reviews, analysis, prototypes and hardware test plans while collaborating with UK and US partners.

Qualifications

• BEng/BSc/MEng or higher in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• 10+ years in a technical aerospace engineering role with stakeholder management.
• Experience in NX/Teamcenter and rapid design iteration.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanics, materials, design, testing and fabrication.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills; UK security clearance eligible.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the physical design of payload carriage and release for a novel aircraft type from concept to low-rate production.
• Define requirements, propose solutions, and establish evaluation/verification methodologies.
• Collaborate with UK and US partner organizations to integrate electrical, actuation, and mechanical systems.
• Lead design reviews, perform analyses, build prototypes, and implement hardware test plans.
• Improve team tools, templates, processes and standards.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, educational work environment; travel to test sites as needed.
