2025 sees MoneyGram Haas F1 Team celebrate its tenth season in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship… we’re just getting started. We don’t follow the status quo, we’re here to challenge the competition, and we want you to join us.

The first American Formula 1 team to compete in the sport since 1986, MoneyGram Haas F1 Team made an immediate impression with a memorable points-scoring debut at the 2016 Australian Grand Prix. Nine years later, and the team continues to demonstrate growth and a clear direction with its future objectives – coming off the back of its second-best season to-date in Formula 1.

We’re a racing team – not a corporate machine. We have three HQs – Kannapolis in the US, Banbury in the UK, and Maranello in Italy – each powered by passionate, loyal, and hardworking team ambassadors. At MoneyGram Haas F1 Team – known within the paddock as the ‘family team’ – you’ll be involved in many different areas of the team, have much wider visibility across the business, and will be able to clearly see your contribution to our team.

Yes, you’ll learn from us, but we expect to learn from you too!

General Summary:

This position reports to the Design Team Leader or their designee; it is located in Maranello, Italy. Responsible for the design of F1 chassis-related components and mechanical assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.
  2. Design of F1 chassis related components and mechanical assemblies.
  3. Study and design components through solid modelling, surface modelling, and 2D drawing to obtain high-performance, reliable solutions, and optimized sizing.
  4. Components include suspensions, wheels, hydraulic, fuel, and cooling systems, as well as equipment for car homologation and on-track management (e.g., legality checks, pit stop equipment).
  5. Manage the ‘design mock-up activity’ in the design office.
  6. Follow all safety regulations at all venues.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned by the Design Team Leader or their designee.
Education and Work Experience:

GCSE, High School diploma or equivalent required. Further education including Mechanical Engineering degree preferred. Minimum 6 years of work experience, with at least 3 years in a professional motorsports environment or F1 companies.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
  1. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  2. Excellent understanding of English.
  3. Strong technical background in racing cars.
  4. Ability to work to a high standard in stressful, time-sensitive situations.
  5. Quick decision-making skills, working through problems scientifically and analytically.
  6. Ability to work well within a team environment at all levels.
  7. Sympathetic approach to colleagues and ability to integrate within a group.
  8. Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to help others.
Equipment and Applications:
  1. Proficiency in Solid (preferably CATIA), Microsoft Office, and ERP systems.
  2. Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of composites.
  3. Ability to follow complex regulations related to material shipment and facility maintenance.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:

Must work and prioritize in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments, with occasional domestic and international travel. Willingness to work long, flexible hours including weekends. May require lifting up to 50 pounds, repetitive bending, squatting, manual dexterity, and working around machinery, race cars, and hazardous fluids, in compliance with health and safety policies.

This description may not include all duties and responsibilities which may be reasonably required by the manager.

Company Values and Benefits:

We value diversity, inclusion, and our employees as our greatest asset. We offer rewards, bonuses, and health and wellbeing programs to support our team. If you are passionate about competition, technology, and teamwork, working at MoneyGram Haas F1 Team could be your ideal career move. Motorsport offers dynamic opportunities for dedicated individuals striving for excellence.

Notice:

Employees must be security cleared to National Security Vetting standards. We support the NSV process. UK residents for the last 5 years are preferred; others may need an Overseas Criminal Records Check.
