Job Description:

Baltic Recruitment is supporting an industry-leading manufacturing client in their search for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.

Key Duties:

1. Reporting to the Design Manager in a busy design office, working within the engineering team.
2. Responsible for aspects of the design from conception to sign-off, including layouts, calculations for verification, and detailed design.
3. Managing the implementation of innovative solutions and design changes.
4. Working within a small team, using own initiative to deliver projects within specifications and deadlines.

Key Requirements:

1. Degree level education or higher.
2. Self-motivated, task-oriented engineer experienced in working within small to medium-sized business units.
3. At least 5 years of experience in bulk materials handling, conveyor systems, and structural steel.
4. Knowledge of engineering standards is advantageous.
5. Experience with Inventor, Vault, and Microsoft Project.
6. Organized and methodical approach to workload, familiar with procedural work such as NCRs and ECRs.
7. Desirable: understanding of FEA and DFM.

Package:

• Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
• Office-based role, Monday – Friday, with occasional overseas travel.
