We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Design Office. You will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components, tools, and jigs related to Gearbox, Hydraulic, and Exhaust systems, from initial layouts to detailed parts. You will also improve design workflows and mentor junior engineers.

Lead the design process from concept to detailed design, ensuring innovative and high-performance solutions.

Ensure all parts comply with FIA Formula 1 Technical Regulations.

Develop lightweight, reliable, and aerodynamically efficient mechanical components.

Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure reliability of designed parts.

Stay updated on materials science, manufacturing technologies, and motorsport industry advancements.

Team and Technical Guidance

Serve as a technical reference within the team for task guidance.

Mentor and support junior mechanical design engineers.

Review and approve final design releases as needed.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the design function.

Professionalism and Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with the Mechanical Design Team Leader and Deputy to meet project timelines and goals.

Collaborate with Aerodynamics, Concept, Trackside Operations, and other teams for seamless integration.

Communicate effectively across departments and liaise with suppliers and external partners for quality materials.

Support race and track events from the Factory Operation Room as required.

Maintain flexibility in attendance and work attitude according to project needs.

Experience

  • Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
  • Extensive experience in high-performance motorsport, preferably F1.
  • Proficiency in CAD software like CATIA, Siemens NX, or similar.
  • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing, and structural analysis.
  • Experience with moulds, patterns, and tooling design is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Innovative mindset with a proactive attitude.
  • Team-oriented and positive approach for a fast-paced environment.
