Job summary

Blueprint Recruitment Solutions seeks an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join an international multidisciplinary consultancy with London offices. Hybrid working from London enables involvement in high-profile Education, Healthcare, commercial and Critical Infrastructure projects.

You will lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services, develop strategies, conduct thermal and energy analyses, and coordinate with internal disciplines, architects and clients.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years' experience in the building services industry.
• Experience leading projects through concept, detailed design, and delivery stages.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services systems.
• Develop mechanical design strategies, concepts, and detailed solutions.
• Undertake and oversee thermal, comfort, and energy analysis of buildings and spaces.
• Prepare and manage models, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Coordinate with internal disciplines, architects, clients and external stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are delivered to programme, budget, and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance, support, and mentoring to junior engineers and technicians.
• Contribute to design reviews, risk assessments, and technical approvals.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a well-established, International Multidisciplinary Consultancy. The selected candidate will have the flexibility to work on a hybrid basis from our client's London offices. You will work on technically challenging and high-profile Education, Healthcare, commercial, and Critical Infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services systems
• Develop mechanical design strategies, concepts, and detailed solutions
• Undertake and oversee thermal, comfort, and energy analysis of buildings and spaces
• Prepare and manage models, drawings, specifications, and reports
• Coordinate with internal disciplines, architects, clients, and external stakeholders

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience in the building services industry (4-8 years)

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit Software is essential
• Strong understanding of UK building regulations and design standards
• Knowledge of sustainable and low-carbon design principles
