Carrington West is hiring an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer for a building services consultancy with offices in Croydon and Central London. You will work across healthcare, commercial, education and more, contributing to mechanical design, surveys, and contract administration.

You’ll use Cymap/MEPWorx, AutoCAD and Revit, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while developing your skills and progressing toward Senior Mechanical Engineer status. Hybrid working available.

Qualificações

• A degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• UK building services consultancy experience.
• Experience with Cymap/MEPWorx or similar mechanical calculation software.
• Experience with AutoCAD or Revit.
• Knowledge of Building Regulations and relevant British Standards.
• Strong understanding of mechanical building services design principles.
• Good communication and teamwork skills; able to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to attend site visits and client meetings.

Responsabilidades

• Support Senior Engineers with surveys, design, specs and contract admin.
• Prepare design calculations, drawings, specs and reports.
• Perform heat loss/gain calcs and size plant, piping, ductwork.
• Utilise Cymap/MEPWorx and related software for calculations.
• Produce marked-up drawings; CAD/Revit modelling as needed.
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams with clients and other consultants.

Are you an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer looking for a new opportunity with an established building services consultancy? Our client, an independent building services consultancy with offices in Croydon and Central London, is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team. You will be working across healthcare, commercial, education, defence, industrial, leisure and public sector projects, the consultancy delivers a broad range of technically challenging building services projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Senior Mechanical Engineers and Directors with surveys, mechanical design, specifications and contract administration.
• Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications and technical reports.
• Undertake heat loss and heat gain calculations and size pipework, ductwork, drainage, plant and associated equipment.
• Use Cymap/MEPWorx and other relevant engineering software for mechanical calculations.
• Produce marked-up drawings and undertake CAD/Revit modelling where required.
• Work within multidisciplinary teams, coordinating with clients, architects, structural engineers and other consultants.

What They're Looking For:

• A degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Previous UK building services consultancy experience.
• Experience with Cymap/MEPWorx or similar mechanical calculation software.
• Experience with AutoCAD or Revit.
• Knowledge of Building Regulations and relevant British Standards relating to mechanical services design.
• Good understanding of mechanical building services design principles.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to attend site visits and client meetings.
