A little about the role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our cancer services team on a 12-month fixed term contract and play an important part in supporting timely, coordinated care for patients.
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, confident working with a range of people and able to handle sensitive information with accuracy and discretion. You will enjoy bringing people together, building strong relationships and making sure nothing important is missed.
MDT meetings bring together healthcare professionals from different specialities to discuss each patient's diagnosis, treatment options and ongoing care.
At the heart of the role is keeping communication flowing between the teams involved in each patient's care. You will be a key point of contact for MDT activity, helping colleagues stay informed, resolving issues and ensuring meetings run effectively from start to finish.
You will work closely with Consultants, Nurse Specialists and colleagues across Radiology, Pathology and administration. As a senior member of the team, you will also support and guide MDT Coordinators, provide cover when needed and deputise for the MDT Manager.
