Job summary

Airbus UK is seeking a Lead System Engineer specializing in MBSE to drive the architecture for military satellite communications programs. You will work with a team of engineers and architects reporting to the Head of Systems Engineering.

You will define space, control and ground segment architectures and participate in working groups with partners to shape technical approaches and tender responses. The role requires strong MBSE experience and leadership in complex systems engineering.

Qualifications

• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and MBSE tools.
• Understanding of satellite platforms, payloads, and space control.
• Interest in shaping technology direction and mentoring colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Define system architecture for tenders and programmes (space, ground, control).
• Collaborate with engineering leads and partners to define segment architectures.
• Provide systems engineering inputs for planning, scheduling and cost activities.
