Job summary

Hypersonica GmbH is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to shape Europe’s defence technology platform. You will own the system architecture for high-speed flight vehicles and drive MBSE across disciplines, from concept through PDR.

You’ll decompose mission objectives into verifiable requirements and build the end-to-end V-model with traceability. Join a small, elite team delivering fast, autonomous decisions with real impact on national capability and security.

Qualifications

• Experienced Systems Engineer with track record in safety-critical environments.
• Deep MBSE experience and ownership of requirements models.
• Strong grounding in closed-loop control theory for high-speed flight.
• Experience taking systems through early design gates (Kick-off, PDR).
• Ability to work in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the system architecture and model for high-speed flight vehicles.
• Lead aerospace systems architecture from concept to PDR.
• Build and maintain the authoritative requirements model.
• Define end-to-end system V-model and verification strategy.
• Apply MBSE as a practical engineering tool with traceability.
• Develop and deliver a 6-DoF GNC model to PDR standard.
• Ensure controllability, stability, and performance at system level.
• Identify system-level risks and drive mitigations.
• Act as technical authority across disciplines.
