Job summary

The Nursing and Midwifery Council is seeking an experienced Specialist Maternity Manager to provide operational leadership over complex and sensitive fitness to practise cases within the SCCT. You will work with senior colleagues, lawyers and stakeholders to ensure cases progress efficiently, with risk managed and standards maintained.

Responsibilities

• Leading the operational management of complex and sensitive fitness to practise cases.
• Managing team workflow and ensuring cases progress proactively and effectively.
• Acting as an escalation point for complex issues and complaints.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Leading stakeholder engagement and supporting case-specific communication plans.
• Working with media colleagues on cases attracting public, media or political interest.
• Driving continuous improvement through quality assurance and service development initiatives.
