Job summary

The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) seeks a Specialist Maternity Manager to provide operational leadership over complex fitness to practise cases within the Specialist Casework and Complex Cases Team (SCCT). You will work with senior colleagues, lawyers and stakeholders to ensure efficient case progression, risk management and high service standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational management of complex and sensitive fitness to practise cases.
• Manage team workflow and ensure proactive progression of cases.
• Act as escalation point for complex issues and complaints.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead stakeholder engagement and support case-specific communication plans.
• Collaborate with media colleagues on cases attracting public or political interest.
• Drive continuous improvement through quality assurance and service development.
• Provide leadership, coaching and performance management to team members.
