Senior Marketing Manager – International Higher Education
Remote-based, with occasional travel
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Reporting to: Head of Global Marketing

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Marketing Manager to drive Pearson Higher Education’s global marketing strategy and execution, ensuring we deliver impactful campaigns that support our business growth and customer engagement. This is a high-impact role where you will lead the development of marketing initiatives that resonate with educators and students worldwide while ensuring strong commercial alignment.
As a key leader in the global marketing team, you will be responsible for developing and executing scalable marketing strategies, working cross-functionally to align efforts across product, sales, and regional marketing teams. You’ll bring a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a track record of delivering measurable results. Key Responsibilities
Global Marketing Strategy & Leadership:
- Shape and drive the global marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with Pearson’s business priorities and revenue goals.
- Develop scalable marketing frameworks that empower regional teams to execute locally while maintaining global consistency.
- Lead the development of messaging strategies that clearly articulate Pearson’s value proposition to educators and students worldwide.
High-Impact Campaign Leadership
- Oversee the design and execution of global marketing campaigns, ensuring they effectively engage target audiences and deliver business impact.
- Champion a data-driven approach, ensuring insights and analytics shape marketing activities and optimize performance.
- Lead campaign planning processes, ensuring all marketing initiatives align with Pearson’s commercial goals and brand positioning.
Stakeholder & Regional Engagement
- Act as a key advisor and strategic partner to regional marketing teams, ensuring they have the tools, insights, and guidance needed to execute localized strategies.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across sales, product, and business leadership, influencing strategic decisions and ensuring marketing contributes effectively to commercial success.
- Provide thought leadership and best practices to elevate marketing performance across global and regional teams.
Performance & Innovation
- Lead ongoing performance measurement and reporting, ensuring marketing efforts are directly tied to revenue impact, customer engagement, and business growth.
- Champion innovation in marketing approaches, exploring new digital strategies, automation, and emerging technologies to enhance campaign effectiveness.
- Foster a test-and-learn culture, continuously optimizing marketing strategies based on insights and industry trends.
Leadership & People Development
- Mentor and support team members, sharing expertise and guiding regional marketers to develop high-impact campaigns.
- Drive knowledge sharing and best practice development across global and regional teams.
Competencies & Skills
Strategic Leadership: Proven ability to set and execute global marketing strategies, with a strong focus on driving business growth.
Commercial & Data-Driven Mindset: Ability to align marketing activities with revenue goals and measure success through clear KPIs.
Global Campaign Expertise: Experience leading large-scale, multi-channel campaigns that drive brand awareness and customer engagement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong relationship management skills, able to influence and align stakeholders across regions and business functions.
Analytical & Performance-Focused: A data-driven approach to marketing, ensuring decisions are based on insights and optimization opportunities.
Excellent Communication & Leadership Skills: The ability to engage and inspire internal teams and external stakeholders with compelling storytelling and clear marketing strategies.
Education & Qualifications
Degree in marketing, business, or a related field. A professional marketing qualification (e.g., CIM) is a plus.
Fluency in English.
