Description

We’re seeking a seasoned, self-driven marine geophysicist or hydrographic surveyor with a strong foundation in offshore survey and subsea cable project delivery. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of technical excellence, project leadership, and a consultancy mindset, along with a passion for advancing the offshore renewables sector.

Required skills and experience:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in relevant technical subject
  • 5-10 years experience within the offshore hydrographic, geophysical survey industry
  • Project management, proposals, contract management experience
  • Strong knowledge of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems and compliance requirements for offshore projects.

Additional Desirable Skills:

  • Interconnector (power/telecoms) or offshore wind array/export cabling project experience
  • Consultancy experience
  • Cable routing CBRAs, BAS knowledge
  • Technical proficiency in GIS and geographical data analysis
  • Marine survival and offshore medical certification

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The purpose of the role is to manage the delivery of subsea cable and offshore renewables projects on behalf of Intertek’s clients, with an emphasis on subsea survey, cable installation, planning and design, risk assessment and project management. The role provides excellent career opportunities to work on exciting, cutting edge, varied and multiple projects and gives the opportunity to develop strong consultancy skills and help develop industry leading solutions.
