Job summary

Meridian Business Support Ltd is seeking a Production Shift Leader to manage 80 staff on a swing shift (6-2 / 2-10) across seven days. The role requires hands-on leadership, driving performance, quality and safety in a busy manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing management, strong communication skills, and proven ability to meet production KPIs, while effectively planning resources and overtime.

Qualifications

• Experience leading 50+ staff in a shift-based production environment.
• Strong focus on health & safety and quality management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 80 staff in a busy production environment, focusing on people, workflow, performance, output, quality and safety.
• Build a strong team culture through communication, collaboration and engagement.
• Meet production schedules and KPIs, contributing to overall department success.
• Analyse production processes, resolve challenges and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Develop and implement operational plans, manage resources and oversee daily activities.
• Track overtime and ensure fair allocation while controlling costs.
