Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for the Microelectronics Factory team in the US. You will drive quality improvements and shorten cycle times by streamlining workflows and removing bottlenecks, using data-driven tools like SPC to ensure efficient, reliable production of high‑quality microelectronics.

Requirements include a STEM degree, 5+ years in manufacturing, SPC tool experience, CAD for tooling/fixtures, and the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience.
• 3+ years of implementing and managing SPC tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP) to drive yield improvements and reduce defects.
• 3+ years experience in CAD for designing tooling, fixtures and 3D fixturing.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in a factory or shop floor setting with microelectronics/aerospace hardware.

Responsibilities

• Translating engineering design requirements into formal manufacturing process documentation.
• Programming for manufacturing automation.
• Dispositioning of discrepant hardware.
• Leading corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Manufacturing process development and maintenance.
• Conducting safety / ergonomic assessments.
