Job summary

RTX is seeking a Supplier Quality & Compliance Coordinator to join our Birmingham site on a predominantly onsite basis. You will gain hands-on experience across supplier quality management, auditing, regulatory compliance and product quality throughout the supply chain.

Training and mentoring will be provided, with increasing responsibility as you develop your capability in a highly regulated aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification or practical experience in quality, compliance, manufacturing, engineering, supply chain or related discipline.
• Experience in a structured, regulated or process-driven environment.
• Understanding of quality management principles and auditing/compliance basics.
• Experience using SAP and Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn in a regulated setting.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders across cultures.

Responsibilities

• Support deployment of quality, compliance and safety strategies, ensuring regulatory and customer requirements are met.
• Assist audits to maintain approvals including ISO9001, AS9100, AS9110, AS9120, UK CAA/EASA Part 145 and FAA requirements.
• Support supplier performance management through scorecards, maturity assessments and engagement plans.
• Flow down standards to suppliers and ensure alignment with contracts and regulations.
• Assist with new product introduction by assessing supplier readiness and compliance with specs.
• Support governance activities: data management, reporting and closure of issues.
• Participate in surveillance visits and help manage findings and corrective actions.
• Contribute to root cause investigations using 8D/DAISE and other problem-solving methods.
• Review release docs (Form 1, CoC, FAIR) and assist contract reviews.
• Deliver compliance and quality training and maintain staff competency records.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement and Suppliers to resolve issues.
