Job description

Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Cowes, Isle of Wight

Salary: Up to £55,000 dependent on experience

What you’ll be doing:

1. Apply manufacturing engineering knowledge to support development in electromechanical assembly
2. Interpret production drawings to identify tooling, process, handling, safety requirements, and estimate assembly times
3. Create and maintain manufacturing work instructions and shopfloor layouts
4. Conduct health and safety activities such as risk assessments and manual handling assessments
5. Coordinate with subcontractors and customers
6. Develop training packages on modern technologies and processes
7. Collaborate with development teams for Design for Manufacture considerations

Your skills and experience:

1. Experience in a manufacturing environment
2. Good understanding of MRP/ERP systems
3. Knowledge of production engineering principles
4. Ability to read engineering drawings and diagrams
5. HNC/D qualification in engineering
6. Understanding of engineering change documentation
7. Familiarity with SAP transactions and table structures (training available)
8. Experience with Lean Manufacturing techniques
