MPA Recruitment is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor in County Tyrone to lead the commercial function across major construction and civil engineering projects. Reporting to senior leadership, you will oversee commercial performance from tender through final account and mentor a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related construction discipline.
• Significant experience at Senior or Managing Quantity Surveyor level.
• Strong commercial acumen and financial management skills.
• Thorough understanding of construction contracts and contract law.
• Experience managing variations, claims, valuations and final accounts.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Strong IT and commercial software proficiency.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Civil engineering experience would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management of multiple construction and civil engineering projects.
• Oversee feasibility studies, tender assessments and commercial appraisals.
• Prepare and review interim valuations, cost reports, cash flow forecasts and reconciliations.
• Manage variations, compensation events and contractual claims.
• Negotiate and agree final accounts.
• Develop project budgets, forecasts and client quotations.
• Identify, manage and mitigate commercial risks.
• Provide strategic commercial advice to key stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor and develop members of the commercial team.
• Drive continuous improvement and commercial best practice across projects.
