ARC (Norwich) Ltd is inviting applications for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join the Norwich-based commercial team on a permanent basis. The role focuses on taking ownership of commercial and contractual performance across multiple projects, guiding project QSs, and working closely with operations and senior management.

You will drive sustainable growth by managing risk, delivering margins, and providing robust financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, Managing Quantity Surveyor or equivalent in civil engineering, infrastructure or related construction.
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
• Track record of delivering commercial targets, maintaining margins and managing project financial performance.
• Experience leading, mentoring and developing commercial teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the commercial and contractual management of multiple projects, ensuring delivery against financial and operational objectives.
• Lead, develop and support project Quantity Surveyors and wider commercial teams.
• Proactively manage commercial risks, identify opportunities and minimise disputes.
• Forecast and deliver project profits and margins with accurate cost control and reporting.
• Produce and review commercial reports, forecasts and cost information for senior management.
• Manage contractual obligations, notices, change control and variations to protect the commercial position.
• Ensure subcontract orders, payments and procurement activities align with procedures.
• Support tendering and work-winning activities, including risk and opportunity assessment.
