Job summary

ARC Group Worldwide is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor/Quantity Surveyor to join its Norwich-based commercial team on a permanent basis. You will contribute to the financial and contractual management of civil engineering and infrastructure projects across East Anglia, driving profitability while supporting client and supply chain relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor role within civil engineering, infrastructure or related construction environment.
• Sound understanding of commercial management, cost control and contractual administration.
• Experience with valuations, applications for payment, variations and subcontractor management.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the commercial and contractual management of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring accurate reporting.
• Prepare and submit applications for payment, valuations and associated commercial documentation.
• Manage variations, compensation events and change control in line with contract requirements.
• Assist with monthly cost and value reports, forecasts and cash flow information.
• Procure and manage subcontract packages, including preparing orders and payment assessments.
• Review subcontractor applications and valuations to ensure correct payments per contract obligations.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities to protect project profitability.
• Work with project managers and operations to monitor progress and resolve commercial issues.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders.
