Senior Manager, Strategic Proposition Development

Digital Markets Infrastructure (DMI) is an ambitious programme to enable the use of blockchain architecture for financial infrastructure. The initiative focuses on tokenization, trading, and settlement of financial instruments as digital assets, initially targeting transformation in alternative investments and private markets. This is a unique opportunity to join an innovative, intellectually stimulating project backed by the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG).

We seek an experienced Proposition Development Manager to support DMI's product and commercial strategy growth. The role involves working closely with prospective clients and internal teams to accelerate the proposition, delivering value and operational efficiencies to the asset management industry. Responsibilities include supporting go-to-market activities, client engagement, business development, and contributing to the programme's commercial strategy.

The programme requires extensive interaction across Business Development, Product Delivery, Operations, Technology, Legal, and Compliance, making experience in large financial market infrastructure projects highly desirable.

In this role, you will collaborate with the Proposition Director, clients, and internal teams to communicate the value of digital assets, refine functionalities, and support the implementation of asset-, chain-, and jurisdiction-agnostic digital infrastructure.

Role responsibilities:
  1. Lead or support client proposition and business development activities for priority clients, including attending meetings, events, and conferences.
  2. Define, develop, and execute the proposition roadmap for LSEG's Digital Markets Infrastructure in private markets, prioritising features with clients and stakeholders.
  3. Drive proposition validation and design, building relationships with institutions, fund managers, and investors to refine solutions.
  4. Document and communicate client insights, feature requests, and requirements to internal stakeholders.
  5. Identify opportunities for DMI to offer differentiated capabilities and add value to clients and the industry.
  6. Support product-market fit processes, championing customer requirements from inception to delivery.
  7. Capture all client interactions in sales tools like Salesforce.
  8. Prepare detailed tracking and status reports of business development activities.
  9. Work with technology teams to ensure functional requirements are understood and implemented.
  10. Conduct market research and gather feedback to inform proposition development.
  11. Monitor market trends and the competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities.
  12. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize product features for digital assets.
Essential experience and skills:
  • Experience delivering customer-focused propositions for financial market infrastructure or digital asset solutions, preferably in private markets or alternative investments.
  • Experience in client engagement and outreach within asset management or financial infrastructure sectors.
  • Detailed knowledge of traditional and digital asset workflows, including public and private markets.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to adapt product capabilities, manage risks, and achieve client outcomes.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and project dynamics.
  • Proven experience in a product-focused role within fintech or financial services, especially digital assets.
  • Knowledge of digital assets, cryptoassets, cryptoeconomics, tokenized assets, and stablecoins is advantageous.
  • Understanding blockchain technology and its operational applications is beneficial.
  • Strong intellectual ability and influence skills.
  • Superb interpersonal skills to articulate ideas across all levels of seniority.
