A leading cultural institution in London seeks a Strategic Projects Fundraising Lead to drive fundraising efforts for transformational projects. The Development Strategic Projects team is responsible for raising funds for transformational projects and ensuring best-in-class stewardship of major Tate supporters.
This crucial role will lead Strategic Projects fundraising, maximising income for a variety of strategic projects and campaigns. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Development and other Development teams to implement effective strategies through a robust programme of cultivation and stewardship of major donors.
Candidates should have a proven track record of successful fundraising or donor development for gifts of £500,000 or more, coupled with an outstanding level of donor stewardship. An understanding of the complexities and nuances of major donor relationships is essential. The role requires building strong working relationships with internal colleagues and senior volunteers, using coaching and influencing skills to achieve successful results.
Excellent organisational and project management skills, including experience with budget management, are necessary. The candidate should approach challenges with flexibility and creativity to achieve positive outcomes. The ability to communicate Tate's vision proactively, both in writing and in person, to build a compelling case for support is vital. Ensuring that principles of equality and diversity are promoted through the team’s work is also essential.
