The Role

As we scale our Managed Services division, we’re seeking a Strategic Projects Lead to scope, design, and deliver complex human data projects. You’ll work directly with leading AI companies, researchers, and product teams to set up impactful, scalable pilots—from initial client engagement to task material design, rater training, and operational execution.

This is a high-ownership, cross-functional role suited for a creative strategist and operational builder who thrives in ambiguity, loves solving complex problems, and wants to shape the future of human data in AI.

You’ll lead the delivery of bespoke managed service projects with a focus on:

• Translating complex client needs into well-scoped, high-quality data projects.
• Conducting feasibility studies and pilot programs to validate approaches and assumptions.
• Designing task materials and rating guidelines to ensure consistent, quality outputs.
• Developing training programs and operational workflows for raters, domain experts, and reviewers.
• Collaborating with internal teams across Product, Data, Marketing, Customer Success, and Operations to ensure end-to-end delivery.
• Representing the voice of the customer to improve our managed services capabilities and infrastructure.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Own project scoping and feasibility: Engage with customers to understand objectives, co-create study designs, assess viability, and define success criteria.
• Lead project setup: Draft protocols, instructions, workflows, and platform configurations tailored to client needs.
• Design and operationalize rater pipelines: Develop scalable onboarding, training, QA, and performance tracking processes.
• Run pilots and iterate: Launch small-scale tests to evaluate feasibility, cost, quality, and throughput, then optimize for scale.
• Ensure delivery excellence: Manage project execution within timelines and budgets, providing proactive updates and insights to clients.
• Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with Data, Product, and Engineering teams to identify automation opportunities, improve task templates, and develop reusable solutions.
• Document learnings: Create playbooks, case studies, and standardized workflows to enhance operational readiness and reduce setup friction over time.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

• 3–5+ years experience in strategy, operations, consulting, product, or customer-facing delivery roles—preferably within a high-growth, data or tech-focused environment.
• Strong analytical skills and systems thinking, with a proven ability to design and implement operational processes.
• Comfort working with technical stakeholders and quickly learning new tools, platforms, or frameworks.
• Ability to translate abstract problems into structured plans and execute with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong project management and cross-functional influencing abilities.
• Enthusiasm for ambiguity, complexity, and building new solutions from scratch.
• Curiosity and passion for AI, data quality, and understanding how humans contribute to responsible AI development.
