Job Description:

AURELIUS‘ Task Force is a close-knit team of advisors with deep functional expertise and long-standing management experience supporting value generation in portfolio companies through effective and hands-on project and change management in the areas of Procurement, Operations, Sales/Marketing, IT and Finance.

Responsibilities

• Implementation of optimization projects in purchasing to improve procurement organizations and processes, increase efficiency, and ensure the supply of materials and services.
• Strategic analysis of procurement categories and markets, technical specifications, and development and implementation of sourcing strategies for portfolio companies.
• Implementation of commercial initiatives such as price negotiations and framework agreements to realize purchase price reductions.
• Execution of technical cost reduction initiatives like functional cost analysis, value engineering workshops, and cross-functional idea workshops with R&D and suppliers.
• Preparation and execution of supplier negotiations and annual meetings regarding bonuses, etc.
• Initiation and participation in projects to optimize supply chain and capital employed.

Qualifications required

• University degree in Business/Economics, Engineering or Natural Sciences
• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably with a top management consulting firm
• Proven experience in negotiations and cost savings, with knowledge of legal, tax, and financial aspects
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, confident, convincing, entrepreneurial personality
• Analytical and strategic thinking, result-oriented, responsible, team player
• Practical, hands-on mentality
• Ability to lead teams through critical transformations with sensitivity and speed
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
