Job summary

Page Personnel is seeking a Senior IFRS reporting professional to lead UK IFRS 9 reporting and ECL processes within a large global banking group.

The role requires ACA/ACCA qualification with deep IFRS 9 and regulatory reporting experience, plus SOX controls and data remediation capabilities. You will engage senior stakeholders and help embed a robust IFRS 9 control framework across the UK balance sheet.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA with UK banking/IFRS reporting experience.
• Strong IFRS 9 experience and regulatory reporting knowledge.
• Experience with FINREP and PRA returns.
• Experience with SOX controls and data remediation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ongoing IFRS 9 reporting for the UK balance sheet and support streamlined reporting.
• Perform monthly expected credit loss (ECL) pack reviews with variance analysis.
• Review outputs (IFRS & FINREP disclosures, Encumbrance, PRA108) and conduct quarterly reviews.
• Run data quality and remediation activities, validate impairment outputs, and support automation.
• Own and operate SOX controls and help embed IFRS 9 control framework.

Job Description

• Deliver ongoing IFRS 9 reporting for the UK balance sheet, including review/challenge of reporting solutions and supporting a streamlined reporting process
• Perform monthly expected credit loss pack reviews: reasonableness checks and variance analysis
• Provide technical review of key outputs (IFRS & FINREP credit disclosures, Encumbrance, PRA108) and perform quarterly supplementary reporting reviews
• Run data quality and remediation activities: validate impairment outputs, analyse complex datasets, support automation projects and data-quality fixes
• Own and operate controls (SOX) and help embed/improve the IFRS 9 reporting control framework.

The Successful Applicant

• Demonstrable experience working within a UK bank / large financial services / IFRS reporting environment
• Qualified accountant ACA, ACCA
• Strong IFRS 9 experience
• Regulatory and financial reporting experience, including experience interpreting requirements such as FINREP and PRA returns
• SOX controls
• Advanced analytical and data remediation experience
• Experience of building, influencing, and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders

What's on Offer

• A salary of £90,000 to £120,000, dependent on the level of experience.
