Job summary

HSBC Group in the UK seeks an experienced Senior Manager – Fraud Decisioning and Insights Cards to lead the 1st Party Fraud and Money Mule program. You will establish the operating model, build a current-state view of controls, and set investment needs across detection systems and processes.

Working with Fraud Operations and governance teams, you will design and implement end-to-end controls, improve protection, and respond to emerging risks with clear escalation and strategic actions.

Qualifications

• Proven management-level experience within a Fraud function.

Responsibilities

• Establish the 1st Party Fraud and Money Mule operating model and strategy across HSBC UK
• Build a current-state view of control capabilities for 1st Party Fraud and Money Mule activity and define future control and investment needs
• Create and run an end-to-end rhythm of meetings and activities to progress mule fraud protection
• Develop strategies and protocols based on fraud pattern analysis and support implementation in fraud detection systems and operational processes
• Interpret MI and trend insights, identify issues and risks and escalate with clear strategies to address fraud and risk
• Coordinate required control changes from design through testing to implementation, including complex change initiatives
• Partner with Fraud Operations and other stakeholders to embed controls into fraud treatment strategies and improve process effectiveness
• Support senior management responses to flash fraud attacks impacting the relevant typology or business area
• Bring proven management-level experience within a Fraud function
• Demonstrate detailed knowledge of HBUK products, policies and processes
• Apply hands-on experience working with fraud detection systems such as SAS EFM, Falcon, BioCatch, Hunter and ThreatMetrix
• Show established capability in fraud control design and control delivery methods
• Provide relevant experience working in a risk environment, ideally within FLoD or SLoD
• Evidence experience developing new processes and ways of working across Fraud Strategy, Analytics, Operations or Policy environments
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of what best-in-class fraud management looks like and how to apply it in practice
• Bring experience working across multiple fraud typologies and engaging with senior stakeholders
