Job summary

ACCA Careers in Sevenoaks is seeking a Senior Manager to be the right-hand to the Partners, overseeing a diverse client portfolio and delivering high-quality accounting, tax, and advisory services.

You will lead and mentor a team, drive business development, and ensure regulatory compliance within a flexible hybrid working environment, with a clear path to equity Partner.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Ability to lead and develop a team effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for client and stakeholder interaction.
• A proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
• 10+ years experience working for an accountancy practice.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality accounting, tax, and business advisory services.
• Lead and review the preparation of statutory accounts, management accounts, corporation tax returns, and personal tax matters.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing commercial advice and building long-term relationships.
• Oversee, mentor, and develop junior team members, supporting their technical and professional growth.
• Identify opportunities to expand services within existing client portfolios and contribute to business development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, firm procedures, and quality control standards while managing deadlines and workflow effectively.

The Senior Manager will be the right hand person to the Partners of the firm. This role has the potential to progress through Partner Designate up to eventual equity Partner.
