Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting on behalf of a top 100 accountancy practice in Sevenoaks for a Senior Manager role. You will manage client portfolios, deliver accounting, tax and advisory services, and act as the main client contact to provide commercial guidance.

You will lead and mentor a team, review statutory accounts and tax returns, pursue business development, ensure compliance and timely delivery, with hybrid working and clear potential to progress toward equity Partner.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualifications (ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Ability to lead and develop a team effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality accounting, tax, and business advisory services.
• Lead and review the preparation of statutory accounts, management accounts, corporation tax returns, and personal tax matters.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing commercial advice and building long-term relationships.
• Oversee, mentor, and develop junior team members, supporting their technical and professional growth.
• Identify opportunities to expand services within existing client portfolios and contribute to business development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, firm procedures, and quality control standards while managing deadlines and workflow effectively.

The Senior Manager will be the right hand person to the Partners of the firm. This role has the potential to progress through Partner Designate up to eventual equity Partner.

Profile

A successful Senior Manager should have:

• Excellent communication skills for client and stakeholder interaction.
• A proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
• 10+ years experience working for an accountancy practice.
