Job summary

ACCA Careers in Sevenoaks is recruiting a Senior Manager to work closely with Partners, overseeing a diverse client portfolio and delivering high-quality accounting, tax and advisory services.

You will lead a team, review statutory accounts and tax returns, nurture client relationships, and identify growth opportunities while ensuring compliance and timely delivery. Hybrid working is available, with strong career progression toward equity Partner.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in accountancy practice.
• Professional qualifications such as ACA or ACCA (or equivalent).
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.

The Senior Manager will be the right hand person to the Partners of the firm. This role has the potential to progress through Partner Designate up to eventual equity Partner.

Description

• Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality accounting, tax, and business advisory services.
• Lead and review the preparation of statutory accounts, management accounts, corporation tax returns, and personal tax matters.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing commercial advice and building long-term relationships.
• Oversee, mentor, and develop junior team members, supporting their technical and professional growth.
• Identify opportunities to expand services within existing client portfolios and contribute to business development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, firm procedures, and quality control standards while managing deadlines and workflow effectively.

Profile

A Successful Senior Manager Should Have

• Professional accounting qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Ability to lead and develop a team effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for client and stakeholder interaction.
• A proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
• 10+ years experience working for an accountancy practice.
